On September 18 we begin our fall semester of Tribes!
All of our groups operate on the semester system to give you easy entry and exit points and the opportunity to explore several group options throughout the year. Our semesters are consistent year-to-year:
- Fall Semester begins: Sunday, Sept.18 – Sunday Dec 4
- Winter Semester begins: Sunday Jan.15 – Sunday, Mar.18
- Spring Semester begins: Sunday, April 15 – Sunday, June 17
Leading up to each semester we host a “Tribal Event” specifically designed to be a fun “open door” for our new friends and families at KV! Come out, relax, and get to know our tribes personally. Also, we’ll have plenty of Tribe representatives available for you to ask questions and to help find the right tribe for you!
Why do your groups meet in semesters?
In order to harness the natural momentum created by the ebbs and flows of life, we run our tribes on a semester system. It’s helpful for a number of reasons. First, it allows easy entry and exit points; you don’t have to commit to a tribe for the rest of your life! Two, you are able to move more easily from one tribe to another as your spiritual needs and interests change. It also encourages more involvement by allowing people to experiment with leading a tribe for a short period of time.
Finally, let’s face it…we all need a starting point and a finish line. This allows all of our tribes to intentionally plan and anticipate life change then intentionally celebrate when it happens! At the end of each semester we hold a closing event to celebrate all the great things happening at KV through the tribes. Keep your eyes and ears open for our next one!
